Auditions for the 31st Annual Medicine Hat Symphonic Society Concerto Competition are being held Saturday, November 21. The instrumental auditions are to remain closed, but this year it was decided to open the vocal portion of the competition to the public as this is the final competition for the vocalists. The announcement of the winner of the vocal competition and the four finalists in the Concerto Competition will be made after the vocal portion of the auditions. If a vocalist is in the top four performances of the day, that vocalist will compete in the final competition in May.
